MTR Masala Rawa Idly is an instant semolina (rava) idli mix inspired by traditional South Indian flavors, designed to deliver soft, fluffy idlis with minimal preparation. The mix combines semolina with a balanced masala seasoning of spices and aromatics that capture the classic tiffin taste, allowing you to enjoy a wholesome breakfast or snack without the time-consuming fermentation process of regular idli batter. To prepare, empty the mix into a bowl and combine with plain yogurt and enough water to form a thick, lump-free batter; whisk well and let it rest for about 10 minutes so the semolina softens. Just before steaming, gently fold in a leavening agent such as fruit salt (Eno) or a small pinch of baking soda if desired to achieve extra fluffiness. Grease idli moulds, spoon the batter into the moulds and steam for around 10–12 minutes or until a skewer inserted into the centre comes out clean.
