Enesar Appalam 4" is a traditional South Indian-style appalam (also known as papad or poppadom) presented as thin, 4-inch round wafers made from urad dal (black gram) lentil flour and simple seasonings. These crisp, light crackers are sun-dried and packaged to retain their snap and mild toasted flavor. Finished appalams have a delicate, airy texture with a subtly nutty and savory taste that complements rice and curry meals, salads, or can be served as an everyday snack with chutneys and pickles. Packaged for home use, they are shelf-stable when stored in a cool, dry place away from moisture to preserve crispness.

To use, remove the desired number of appalams from the pack and cook them by one of the common methods: deep-fry briefly in hot oil (around 180°C/350°F) for a few seconds until they puff and turn lightly golden, then drain on paper; roast directly over a gas flame or on a hot skillet using tongs, turning continuously until evenly blistered and crisp; or microwave on a microwave-safe plate for about 30–60 seconds until crisp. You can also bake them on a tray in a preheated oven at about 200°C (400°F) for a few minutes. Cooking times vary by appliance and quantity, so watch closely to avoid burning and follow any specific instructions on the package.
