Ek vaat diya (set of six) is a set of six traditional Indian oil lamps (diyas) designed in the familiar shallow-bowl shape with a small spout to hold a cotton wick. These diyas are intended for ritual use, festive decoration and ambient lighting. Each piece in the set is made to sit stably on flat surfaces and complements puja thalis, window sills, balconies and rangoli displays. The simple design channels a warm, soft light that enhances festive settings such as Diwali or daily prayer routines, and the compact size makes the set convenient to arrange in rows or clusters for decorative effects. The diyas are compatible with common lamp fuels such as ghee, mustard oil, sesame oil or other vegetable oils and use a cotton wick to produce a steady flame when lit. Because they are open oil lamps, they are best used with care on a stable, heat-resistant base and kept away from flammable materials, children and pets.

To use the diyas, place each diya on a heat-resistant tray or plate, pour in an appropriate amount of oil or ghee without overfilling, and insert a cotton wick so that one end rests in the oil and the other projects slightly over the spout; then light the projecting end of the wick with a match or lighter. Always place the tray on a stable, non-flammable surface and never leave burning diyas unattended. To extinguish, gently blow out the flame or use a snuffer, allow the diya to cool before handling, wipe out any residue oil and spent wick, and store the set in a dry place until next use.
